Our Teaching Approach

Our educational philosophy is built around several key principles designed to ensure effective and enriching learning.

Assessment Methods

Throughout each session, several assessments are implemented to monitor and measure students’ progress.

Continuous and Final Assessments

  • Mid‑session assessment


    This assessment focuses on a maximum of 2 skills (among listening, reading, speaking, and writing).
    A maximum of 25 out of 50 points is awarded.
    Only scores higher than the final assessment score are retained.

  • Final assessment


    The end‑of‑session assessment covers all four skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing).
    It allows students to score up to 100 points.
    Based on formative assessment results, one or two scores may be cancelled.

Requirements for Success

To advance to the next level, you must obtain at least 60 out of 100 points.


Attendance, punctuality, and active participation in class are also taken into account when validating progression to the next level.

UNDERSTANDING

Listening

  • Essentials : Understand the main points of a slow conversation.

  • Details : Understand simple information (e.g. tourism).

Level A1

Reading

  • Essentials : Read short messages, emails, and social media posts.

  • Details : Find practical information (prices, dates, places) in brochures.

PRODUCTION

Speaking

  • Essentials: Introduce yourself and interact simply.

  • Details: Ask questions about immediate needs and give opinions.

Writing

  • Essentials: Write simple everyday texts.

  • Details: Produce simple expressions or short prepared texts.

UNDERSTANDING

Listening

  • Understand familiar words related to everyday topics (shopping, work, family).

  • Follow the general idea of a simple, clear presentation.

Level A2

Reading

  • Read short texts related to daily or professional life.

  • Understand personal letters, simple emails, comics.

  • Find key information in brochures or product sheets.

PRODUCTION

Speaking

  • Describe surroundings, living conditions, and work.

  • Give clear directions.

  • Express opinions and give short presentations.

Writing

  • Write simple sentences using connectors (and, but, because).

  • Describe events, experiences, or travel.

  • Share opinions on culture or interests.

UNDERSTANDING

Listening

  • Essentials: Understand the main points of discussions on familiar topics.

  • Details: Understand factual information and simple monologues.

Level B1

Reading

  • Factual reading: Understand clear texts on professional topics.

  • Analysis: Understand detailed articles, identify arguments, and follow instructions.

PRODUCTION

Speaking

  • Describe & argue: Give structured descriptions on various topics.

  • Express opinions & feelings: Justify reactions and viewpoints.

  • Develop an idea: Present clear arguments fluently.

Writing

  • Connected texts: Write coherent texts on familiar topics.

  • Synthesis: Summarize information and give opinions.

  • Creative writing: Write a simple story, film review, or personal narrative.

UNDERSTANDING

Listening

Level B2
