The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an internationally recognized tool used to assess and describe language learners’ linguistic competences.
Created by the Council of Europe, it establishes a six‑level scale of proficiency, ranging from beginner (A1) to advanced mastery (C2).

The CEFR Levels

The CEFR is used in many countries as a foundation for designing language‑teaching programs and certifying language proficiency. At IESIG‑FLE, we use this framework to support you throughout your learning journey and in validating your language level.
